After their first company, Blue, folded, Jason Lee and Chris “Dune” Pastras formed Stereo in 1992. The brand’s initial riders included Lavar McBride, John Deago, Mike Daher, and Matt Rodriguez. Its first video, 1994’s A Visual Sound, helped usher in an era of clean, stylish skating, while its second, 1996’s Tincan Folklore, remains a cult favorite. In 1995, Lee left Stereo to pursue an acting career, and in 1999 the company dissolved, only to re-emerge in 2003. Today, its team includes pros Clint Peterson, Kyle Leeper, and Jordan Hoffart.
